Idaho DOGE
It’s time to hold our state government accountable and ensure that every dollar spent works for the people, not against them.
Everyone is excited about Trump’s Department of Governmental Efficiency (DOGE), headed by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy. Idaho needs to jump on that bandwagon. Our state budget has grown by 55% over the past five years, and it’s time to get serious about making every taxpayer dollar count by cutting out the waste.
Even in a deep red state, Idaho is not exempt from the dangers of excessive government spending. Our ballooning budget is placing a greater burden on hardworking Idaho families. Idahoans deserve a government that respects their sacrifices and manages tax dollars as carefully as families manage their own budgets.
In the upcoming legislative session, I and this group of legislators—Christy Zito, Kent Marmon, Lucas Cayler, Clint Hostetler, Faye Thompson, Glenneda Zuiderveld, and Josh Kohl—will work to cut government waste, fraud, and abuse to put more money back in taxpayers’ pockets.
Where do you see government spending in Idaho that could be cut? In the comments, let us know how we can make a difference for Idaho families, or find us at @DOGE_Idaho on X.
